About the Emergency Radio
Does the radio work in the UK?
Yes. The Emergency Radio receives both DAB/DAB+ and FM, which are both broadcast across the UK. (Long wave is no longer an option, as BBC Radio 4 long wave has closed.)
How is it powered?
It has four independent ways to charge: hand crank, solar panel, USB-C and AAA batteries (not included). Around 60 seconds of cranking gives about 45 minutes of radio. The built-in 4,500 mAh battery can also charge your phone.
Is the product safe and certified?

Orders and payment
Is it safe to order from you?
Yes. Our checkout is powered by Shopify, and your card details are never shared with us. Scandinavian Safety is operated by SKK FREQMX LLC, a registered company.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, as long as it has not shipped yet. Email us with your order number as soon as possible and we will sort it out free of charge.
I didn't get an order confirmation. What do I do?
First check your spam or promotions folder and make sure the email address you used at checkout is correct. If you still can't find it, contact us and we'll resend it.
Delivery
How long does delivery take?
Orders usually leave our warehouse within 1–2 working days. Standard delivery to the UK takes 5–12 working days. During busy periods it can take a few days longer.
How do I track my order?
You'll get an email with a tracking link as soon as your parcel ships.
My parcel is lost or delayed. What now?
Contact us with your order number. If the parcel is lost, we'll send you a free replacement or give you a full refund.
Returns, faults and refunds
What is the 100-day guarantee?
If you're not happy, you can return the product within 100 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price. This is in addition to your 14-day statutory right to cancel. See Returns & refunds for details.
I received a wrong or damaged item.
Sorry about that! Email us your order number together with photos or a short video of the problem. We'll send a free replacement, usually without you needing to send the faulty item back.
How long does a refund take?
Refunds are processed within 5 working days of approval and go back to your original payment method. Your bank may take another 2–4 working days to show it.
